A "Fantastic Picnic" in Beaune !
On the 22 September 2012 from 10am to 2pm
To celebrate good food and drink in a convivial, entertaining way, the Tourist Office is offering an unusual, mouth-watering tour that will take you from the ramparts in Old Beaune to the Parc de la Bouzaize.
The menu includes a walk through the historic centre to see the colourful market stalls near the Hospices, with their local produce that the guide will tell you about in detail as you walk along. There’s also a visit behind the scenes at the “Viti”, Beaune’s famous winemaking college where many winemakers and merchants have studied. You’ll also find out everything you ever wanted to know about how wine barrels are made. Finally, a short walk from the Beaune vineyards, the shady setting of the Parc de la Bouzaize is the location for a picnic made up exclusively of local specialities.
1. Cheese pastries,
2. Ham cooked with parsley,
3. Mustard Tart,
4. A broad type of salami;
5. Cheeses: Cîteaux, Délices de Pommard with mustard bran and Epoisses,
6. “Pavé anglais”, “Burgondines”, “Cassissines”, “Pain d’Epices” (different kinds of cakes),
7. A tasting of red and white wines and blackcurrant liqueur (blackcurrant juice for the children).
