Courtyard and Garden Festival 2011
From June 24 to August 28
The Hôtel-Dieu, the Collegiate Basilica Notre-Dame, the ducal palace… Beaune abounds with architectural beauties! But behind these edifices, the town conceals real treasures spread around its narrow alleys. From June 24 to August 28 2011, the seventh edition of the Courtyard and Garden Festival will open the gates of these places, often unknown by the public. It is through a new route in surprising and unusual sites that another image of the town will reveal itself: the one of “Beaune unusual”. Every year, you are able to admire, in the Square des Lions, the ephemeral gardens realized by landscaping schools from all over France.
Also on the program : water installations that you can admire in the green setting of the public park situated close to the river Bouzaise.
This festival will also be the occasion to visit the Beffroi, the town’s emblematic monument, inaccessible for several years. There, you will discover the strange atmosphere of a cabinet of curiosities through the years.
Finally numerous animations, concerts and shows will be organized to delight children and adults.
