The Paulée de Beaune !
On the 14 October 2012 from 12.30
On Sunday 14 October 2012, the travel agency Promenades en France is organizing the first edition of The "Paulée de Beaune".
This traditional lunch marking the end of the harvest period will take place at the Comédie du Vin in Beaune, from 12:30 onwards. It will be chaired by Jacques Legros, Chairman of Vine and Wine TV, and journalist for TF1.
La Paulée is a typical Burgundy festival. Already in the twelfth century, monks of the Cistercian Abbey were celebrating the end of a harvest by a “well-watered” meal, to which all the grape pickers were invited. A time of celebration and sharing, The "Paulée de Beaune" will be enlivened by a Burgundian choir as well as the Brotherhood of Saint-Denis, which will be inaugurating new members. This festive event is a time for exchanging and discovering the wines brought by each guest.
