Fruirouge Farm: blackcurrant, rasperries, strawberries & Co...
Located in the hamlet of Concoeur near Nuits-Saint-Georges, Fruirouge Farm produces Cassis de Bourgogne, raspberries, strawberries, currants, cherries and wild peaches. And all of it organic!Just after the church, you’ll discover a charming building in typical Burgundy stone.
Jams, fruit jellies & blackcurrant liqueurs
Step inside ... A little shop with its vibrant colours takes you straight back to your childhood. Jams, fruit jellies, boiled sweets and, for the grown-ups, delicious blackcurrant and raspberry liqueurs ... And everything made on site!
The workshop
In the adjoining room, the workshop is well worth a visit. And especially its fine copper pans in which the fruit and sugar simmer slowly. When we visited, they were making cassis ketchup, a speciality of the house, which has won favour with many chefs.
The welcome is very warm, and Isabelle & Sylvain will be delighted to share with you their love of fine products. What a find!
