Romantic, chic, bucolic, Burgundian picnics have proved over several years that they are really FAN-TAS-TIC. Celebrating the Fête de la Gastronomie in Burgundy, it’s saying ‘Cheers!’ to great tastes, taking pleasure in a good bottle produced just a few kilometres away to accompany delicious cheeses. Above all, it’s a festive atmosphere: that of a moment absolutely for sharing... picnic on the grass or feet under a table. The Fantastic Picnic... you will get addicted!

Fantastic Picnic Day at Fontenay Abbey
Fontenay Abbey welcomes you for a moment of friendship at a market of local producers and events where you can spend a memorable Sunday in the countryside. Come and share this wonderful moment from 9.30am.
Discover the valley of Fontenay for a 9 km tasting hike on our Fantastic Picnic day. A coffee awaits you at 9.30am, then you’re off for a free start between 10.00am and 11.00am. The farmers' market opens at 10.00am, where you can discover excellent local products and local crafts.
And the icing on the cake - there will be a flight of hot air balloons taking off at 5.00pm. A raffle will be organised for visitors to Fontenay and you can win a hot air balloon flight.

Fantastic Picnic at Château du Clos de Vougeot
You can enjoy a typical Burgundy menu in the majestic setting of the "Table de Léonce", at Château du Clos de Vougeot. It’s an opportunity to visit the Château, either in the morning or afternoon. And of course, you can taste wines* from different appellations. Two wonderful days to share a moment’s happiness.
