Harvest 2021: become a winemaker for the day

Baptiste Guyot welcomes you to his estate on 18 and 24 September for a special immersion in the heart of Burgundy’s “climats”. Are you looking for authenticity and do you want to dive into the life of a winemaker? Then this wine-based experience of the tourist harvest is perfect for you.

As well as finding out all about the know-how, it involves enjoying a friendly atmosphere with the harvesters, living at their pace between the rows of vines and sharing their daily lives for half a day.
The experience continues in the winery with a presentation on sorting grapes, the vinification steps and then a tasting. A complete programme for your first harvest. Let's bet it won't be your last.

Tasting based around the harvest with Domaine Besancenot

If the secateurs are a bit off-putting, then no problem, as Thérèse and her team of winegrowers welcome you to Domaine Besancenot to discover the work around the harvest. Because cutting the bunches of Chardonnay or Pinot Noir isn’t the only stage of the harvest. At the Estate, little hands patiently await the tractors and trailers’ return to sort the grapes and prepare for the winemaking.

From 15 to 25 September, Domaine Besancenot invites you to go "behind the scenes" of the 2021 harvest. Visit to the winery with explanations on the work in the vat room and how the work is done, so you can discover all the secrets of a wine of excellence.

Also planned: tasting of 6 wines with charcuterie board and traditional gougères (cheese pastries), the little extra from Thérèse Besancenot - she loves gougères!
