From 21st to 30th December, the magic of Christmas is alive in Beaune, for the pleasure of both young and old alike.
Mômes et Merveilles Shows
In December every year, the illuminations and lightshow projections on monuments bring the magic of Christmas into the streets of Beaune, amazing young and old alike. The town of Beaune enriches its year end festivities with the “Festival Mômes et Merveilles” which offers a range of programmes accessible from 9 months to 99 years old in the “Lanterne Magique” auditorium. With plays and shows for children, modern tales, musical circus and dance, the Mômes et Merveilles festival invites parents and children to discover these fabulous spectacles in an unusual setting.

L’Histoire du Soldat or The Story of the Soldier
This surrealist play, based on Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz, unfolds to the music of Stravinsky. The Compagnie à l’Art’Bordage presents on stage a Poor Soldier who sells his soul to the Devil. This comes to life in the form of a violin. Youngsters will be carried off enchanted into this imaginary world full of poetry.
