Every year for Valentine's Day, it tends to be the same story – she ordered his present back on 5 January (it was in the sales). However, he’s rather more interested in watching the Biathlon on TV (he’s good is Martin Fourcade!). As a result, time goes by and still no inspiration. So we decided to give you a helping hand and reveal some great ideas for lovers to celebrate in Beaune and its surroundings.
A couples’ dinner at a restaurant: Valentine's Day menus
Classic but always much appreciated, dinner with your lover is a preferred option for most people. Restaurants in and around Beaune have put together some wonderful menus for a great evening together.- Le Conty in the pedestrian centre of Beaune offers a menu that mixes land and sea on Friday 14 February 2020 for lunch and dinner.
- At Hôtel le Cèdre’s restaurant, Jordan Billan will prepare an exceptional menu to enjoy on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 February 2020. The setting of this magnificent 19th-century winemaker's mansion will only add to the evening's romance.
- La Cabane celebrates Valentine's Day in Chassagne-Montrachet. The chefs at the Ed Em restaurant have developed a menu with fragrant flavours in their restaurant La Cabane. And as two evenings are better than one: this menu will be served on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 February 2020.
- Every year, you tend to browse Burgundy's newly Michelin-starred restaurants. Well, combine both useful and pleasant and take your sweetheart to try out what’s on offer at Le Charlemagne in Pernand-Vergelesses. Chefs Jordan Prot and Laurent Peugeot invite you to "Fall in love".
- In Gilly-les-Cîteaux, Château de Gilly puts a little magic into its Valentine's Day menu on 14 February 2020. Breaking the ice with a glass of Champagne for starters, their menu is more than up to the occasion.

- In Savigny, it’s the 428, the restaurant at l’Ouvrée, which combines salmon, foie gras and Charolais beef for a gourmet Valentine's Day menu on Friday and Saturday evenings.
- The titles of the dishes invite you from the moment you read them to spend a romantic evening at Château de Chailly. The restaurant L'Armançon puts on a wonderful spread that’s sure to delight any couple.
- The Michelin-starred chef at the Jardin des Remparts in Beaune, Christophe Bocquillon, will prepare a surprise tasting menu that’s ideal for getting the conversation started with your sweetheart.

More than just a Valentine's Day dinner - an original evening to celebrate love
So this year, you wanted to mark the occasion and change the traditional atmosphere of a one-to-one meal in a restaurant. Well, our beautiful Burgundy is full of châteaux and places that inspire lovers. So take this opportunity to check them out for yourself.- Château de Sully offers a romantic evening within its walls. To start, there’s a tour of the château that’s all about Love. Then, inspired by this romantic décor, you can dine to the accompaniment of musicians who will invite you to waltz the evening away.
- For those who want to head out of Beaune, Château de Bussy-Rabutin organises a Rabutin Valentine's Day from 5.00pm. Storyteller Jean Michel Vauchot offers an original concept: write your little Valentine's Day phrases and create a story or love note. You can also visit the Château hand in hand and end with an aperitif served in a warm, romantic atmosphere. That’s Château life!
Couples’ massage session for the Feast of Lovers
- Spa Marie de Bourgogne promises to provide the perfect cocoon to celebrate your love, whether it’s just beginning or long-established. Mixing Bubbles of Wellness and Tender Moments for Two, you’ll remember those special moments shared as a couple forever.
- Being pampered as a couple is a wonderful way to celebrate Valentine's Day. Château de Chailly offers a relaxing massage for two from 13 until 16 February. A glass of Champagne is served at the Château bar to close this sweet moment for two.
Forget Valentine's Day, celebrate Galentine's Day with your friends
A concept straight out of the American series - Galentine's Day. The Parks and Recreation TV series in particular made this celebration THE day of the year, according to one of its characters: Leslie Knope.See you in Beaune on 13 February to celebrate friendship.
