Subsequent owners include members of the Montmorency family, the Cardinal de Retz and the Colonel Sadi Carnot, first son of the President of France, Sadi Carnot. At the end of the 19th Century, the Colonel Sadi Carnot, carefully restored the castle which had been partially destroyed during the French Revolution. The fortress is entered via a drawbridge. Once inside, the visitor can enjoy a lovely garden. He can also visit the chapel, the guards's room, the imposing kitchen, the captain's of the guard's room, the living room and the "Chinese Room".
