  • Day 1: Arrive late morning to be greeted by a welcome gift and hotel check-in. 11.30 am: Guided tour of the ?Moutarderie', the museum dedicated to mustard with an interactive discovery tour using the latest museum equipment. Lunch of your choice. In the afternoon, free time to visit Beaune. Capital of a duchy that as early as the fifteenth century foreshadowed the emergence of Europe, Beaune, City of Art, exemplifies all the flamboyance of a province whose epic history made the kings of France tremble. Today the hub of the Burgundy wine trade, Beaune is a town of remarkable artistry, with its old houses with their glazed roofs, contained within its ancient walls. Cellar visit with wine tasting. Visit to the Hospices. Behind an almost austere façade, the Hôtel Dieu, the town's historic hospital, shows off its true splendour in its stunning courtyard ringed by roofs of polished tiles, often chosen as an emblem for the Burgundy region.
