Slipping into the river of oral tradition, Béatrice Terrasse gives shape to stories whose sorrows and joys cross time and hearts. To preserve the precious thread of the words, Louis Jacques' instrumentations are minimalist, sometimes deliberately wobbly, buzzing and repetitive. The gold of the voice, the fragile sobriety of popular songs, right down to the bone.
