Maison aux mille truffes et champignons

at Marey-lès-Fussey
  • The Maison aux Mille Truffes et Champignons is made for those who love nature, truffles, mushrooms and fine food. The visit begins with an exhibition hall where the space under the truffle beds has been recreated. Visitors, quiz in hand, then descend a rocky passage explaining the nature of the different limestone soils in which truffles grow, before leaving for a wooded park of 1.5 ha. Along the way, which is aimed at all ages, a trail laid out according to the season offers the opportunity to discover the magical world of mushrooms. During the autumn season (when Burgundy truffles come into maturity), a truffle labyrinth presents 5 planting methods and 7 truffle species. Adults can follow a well-documented educational tour delivering up the secrets of mycology, while the elves and animated trees watch over giant carved mushrooms and help children to solve a puzzle in this magical, fun place. Back at the building, visitors enter the video room, their quiz answers are corrected and commented on, followed by the showing of a film shot out in the natural truffle grounds with a truffle search performed by our German shepherds. A tasting of 4 exclusive Maison aux mille truffes products and local handicrafts rounds off the visit. A shop has truffle and mushroom-based products on offer.
