Gîte du Marquis- Château de Coraboeuf

In Val-Mont, on the outskirts of a small, quiet village, 20 km from Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, you can discover the “Gîte du Marquis”, situated in the east wing of the Château de Coraboeuf (open to the public for self-guided tours all year round). It is adjoining the “Gîte de la Marquise” (both can be hired together to accommodate up to 12 people). The owners live on site in the main part of the château and will be delighted to be at your service throughout your stay. On arrival, you may drive into the château courtyard to unload, but thereafter, throughout your stay, a parking space will be reserved for each vehicle in the visitors’ car park at the château entrance. Each of our holiday cottages has a fully equipped kitchen (fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher) and a washing machine. In all three bedrooms, you will find your beds made and bathroom linen provided (towels, bathrobes and face towels). Two of the bedrooms have 160x200 beds; the third can be configured as two 90x200 beds or one large 180x200 bed (please tick the relevant option when booking). In the living room, there is a wide selection of books and board games. Chromecast with projection onto the white wall in the living room (no TV). For very young children, travel cots, high chairs and changing mats are available on request (please let us know in advance). Wi-Fi is available in each gîte, but given the thickness of the walls, don’t expect much signal once you’ve stepped outside… Outside, you can stroll at your leisure in our large grounds, enjoy your meals, have a barbecue (each gîte has its own designated area for this), play games (shared games are available, including a table tennis table) or simply soak up the sun on our sun loungers. We’ve put together some suggestions for days out and restaurants in our welcome guide. For the more active among you, there’s the option to hire bikes: please do get in touch with us in advance. For everyone’s comfort, our holiday cottage is non-smoking and does not allow pets. Thank you for your understanding. End-of-stay cleaning is included, as are electricity and heating. Make yourselves at home, enjoy your stay… we’ll take care of the rest  On site: visit Coraboeuf Castle, which has been in our family since the 18th century. Nearby: Beaune, the capital of Burgundy, and its Hospices, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Grand Crus from the Côte d’Or and the Montrachet hillside (Puligny and Chassagne-Montrachet). Beautiful walks in the Cirque du Bout du Monde valley and along the cliffs of St Romain and Baubigny. Close to the Ouche Valley and its charming little villages along the riverbank, and 50 minutes from Dijon, capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, and its Cité de la Gastronomie.
