The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Beaune is devoting an exhibition to the people of Beaune, either by birth or adoption, who have contributed to the development and influence of the capital of Burgundy wines.

Through a thematic tour, the exhibition highlights the singular itineraries of more than twenty great historical figures linked to Beaune.
Artists, actors, musicians, inventors, agronomists, politicians and historians from the 18th to the 20th century are evoked through a hundred or so objects,
from the municipal collections of Beaune, the departmental archives of the Côte-d'Or and private collections.

In addition to famous names, the exhibition allows visitors to discover or rediscover the legacy of Beaulieu's personalities who left their mark on their time through their commitment, talent or innovations. The mathematician Gaspard Monge, the physiologist Etienne Jules Marey, the painter Félix Ziem, the actress Marie Favart... This retrospective, which cannot be exhaustive, honours some of those who have worked for the development and influence of Beaune.

Paintings, sculptures, models, archive documents and video extracts are brought together to illustrate the life and work of men and women from various backgrounds, some famous, some little known, whose legacy has enriched our common heritage.

"Destins croisés" is also an opportunity for the City of Beaune to pay tribute to the Beaune philosopher, sociologist and anthropologist Bruno Latour, who passed away in 2022, and whose abundant archives recently joined the municipal collections.
