Day 1

Let's go for a walk!

In the morning, you start your day exploring Beauneà foot, strolling through its ruelles pavées lined with ancient houses. On your handlebars!On the road to the ponds

There’s nothing like a 15-minute walk to digest. You then head to Active Tour to hire a vélo. You follow the eacute;lo way of the étangs and make a stop à Tailly, où you décover the Étangs d&’Or, a protected natural site; classé Natura 2000, a European label that promotes soft activities while protecting nature. And you’ll arrive just in time for a nature outing with dragonflies and butterflies! A two-hour guided walk led by the Ligue Ligeria Nature, ideal for diving into the fascinating world of these little creatures. A little later, you join the Cellier de la Cabiote, just a stone’s throw from the town centre, for a tasting with commentary of several regional crus. You’ll explore thesubtleties of the Burgundy climates as youéchange with Emmanuel and Anne. And before we leave, there’s the obligatory visit to the Apricot flavour… A real treat!

For the night, you opt for co-responsible accommodation. You book a room at the Greet Hotel, labelled for its sustainable development. Nestled in a wooded park, the hotel lets you enjoy the outside as well as the pool, perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The restaurant also offers an atypical setting, local produce and, of course, fine Burgundy wines.

The next morning, after a local breakfast in Beaune, you take the shuttle from the town centre to the Cité des Climats et des Vins de Bourgogne. It’s a smart choice, allowing you to limit your carbon footprint thanks to easy access. You’ll take part in an immersive tour: interactive exhibitions, educational tastings, and coverage of Burgundy’s rich winegrowing heritage and its célèbres climats classés à l’UNESCO.
