Day 1
Welcome to sensory paradiseWhen you arrive at Beaune, go over the Montagne de Beaune, a view of the vineyards will be offered to you as if on a plate. Then it’s on to La Terre d’Or where you’ll set down your suitcases. Perched high above the vineyards of Beaune, La Terre d’Or is much more than a gîte: it is a family home that has been passionately transformed into a haven of peace. Once a family residence, it has seen a number of generations grow up before opening its doors to travellers in search of authenticity. Surrounded by nature and bathed in natural light, it offers uninterrupted views over the rooftops of the city and the hills of the vineyards. An intimate, lively place where you come to reconnect with Burgundy, the land and yourself. Vincent, your host, will give you a warm welcome and take you on a tour of this veritable paradise for the senses, where sérénité, bien-être andéveil of the senses are the maîtres mots.
Let yourself be carried away by a stroll through the courtyard, and stroll through theorganic terraced garden, patiently created by Christine, who has carefully combined a wide variety of plants. Then Vincent interrupts your tour to reveal the curiosity of the place: the cave! A real cave with stalactites and stalagmites, whose history and secrets he will share with you. Created by his father, Jean-Louis, the cave is a true masterpiece. Your immersion continues with an unforgettable moment of relaxation: a jacuzzi installed in the cave awaits you. So don your swimming costumes and enjoy this special moment with your friends!
As dîner approaches, join à pied Le Bon Accueil, Chez Nono, a restaurant with terrace, offering tasty bistro cuisine in a dé atmosphere;tense atmosphere, with views over Beaune and its vineyards. An excellent way to round off this first day!
Day 2
Discovering BeauneAfter a gourmet breakfast, taken facing the sun that floods the valley. Direction to the centre of Beaune. The market is in full swing: local produce, local specialities, colours and scents mingle in a joyous atmosphere. The perfect picnic for the rest of the day. Back at La Terre d’Or, you have an appointment with Jean-Louis. His passion is contagious. He’ll take you into the history of the Clos de la Belle Châtelaine, this little 2.5 hectare crin, where every plant seems to tell a story. You listen to him, captivated, as he initiates you into his permaculture practices. The tour ends with a dégustation. Crème de cassis, wines from the estate… plenty to hone your palate to the terroir. The afternoon begins at a different tempo. Florian, from Active Tours, hands you some vélos (electric or classic depending on your calves!). You set off on the assault of the voie des vignes, your hair blowing in the wind. The landscapes unfold, the vines stretch as far as the eye can see,classified by UNESCO, enjoy thesestrictly ordered plots of vines. You’ll pass through charming villages vignerons and years of vines, believe me, you’ll be obliged to stop and take photos!
As evening falls, you hit the road towards Volnay. A table awaits you L’Agastache, with its local, organic cuisine worked with straightforward, balanced flavours. Enough to make up for your efforts on the green way.
Day 3
Getting laidAre you a little tired from all those wine tours? How about touching the sky? Embark on a hot air balloon flight over the vines. The alarm goes off before dawn. In the still sleepy tranquillity of La Terre d’Or, you silently prepare yourselves, carried away by the excitement of the moment to come. A few moments later, you join the Bourgogne Beaune Montgolfière team. The balloon slowly inflates, the sky begins to clear. Then, without a sound, you take off. Embark on a hot-air balloon flight over the vineyards. From the top, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking view, between the light of the rising sun and the Climates of Burgundy, which will seem immensely small. Back on land, your excursion continues à vélo. Head for Nantoux on the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, at Domaine Charles père et fille. You’ll have the privilege of sampling the house’s crus, followed by an authentic Burgundian déjeuner à la table de Pauline.
