The Burgundy Wine Museum or "Musée du Vin de Bourgogne" is settled in the former house of the Dukes of Burgundy. Discover an introduction of the History of the vine and the wine of Burgundy from the Ancient World to the present time. The fabrication of a barrel, the evolution of bottle shapes, the "tastevins", or a collection of amphorae, jugs, glasses will allow you to discover how wine-growers worked through the ages.
The Museum of fine-arts or "Musée des Beaux-Arts" of Beaune is situated Porte Marie de Bourgogne near the Beaune Tourist Office and contains magnificent collections of paintings, drawings and sculptures. The museum's highlights are Flemish and Dutch paintings from the 16th and 17th century, as well as paintings from the local artists Hippolyte Michaud and Félix Ziem.
