The result of the marriage of the Fête du Crémant and the Tape-Chaudrons is a colourful event that's unique in France!
21 March 2026 will once again mark the Fête du Tape-Chaudrons in Châtillon-sur-Seine!
This is a tradition that goes back more than 1500 years, when our ancestors went out in costume in the streets of the town to chase away winter and celebrate the arrival of spring by banging their cauldrons!
It's a folk tradition that continues to enliven the town every year, much to the delight of youngsters and nostalgic old-timers alike.
For the past 26 years, the winegrowers of the Châtillonnais region have been getting together to show the general public their region, their trade and their product!
Between the Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne and the Route du Champagne, come and explore the 120 km of vineyards in the 23 communes with A.O.C. status.
Meet passionate producers and discover the secrets of this sparkling elixir!
ON THE PROGRAMME :
-9.00am to 11.30am: Start of the heritage walk with the Rando Club Châtillonnais.

-9.30am to 5pm: Start of the 4X4 trail with Club Sequana 4X4
-10am to 7pm: Open to the public
10.00 am to 12.00 noon: Face painting and mask-making workshop (free without registration)
-10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Sensory visit - olfactory tour of the wines (free without registration)
-10am to 1pm: Crémant Village - sales and tasting
-10.30am to 11am: Folk dance by Les enfants du Morvan
-11.30am to 12.00pm: Bellen-Brug folk dance
-2.30pm to 4pm: Tape-Chaudrons parade through the town centre
>> Route: Cours l'Abbé, Rue Docteur Robert, Place de la Résistance, Rue du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny, Place Joffre. Return to Rue Maréchal Leclerc, Place Marmont.
2.00 pm to 6.00 pm: Face painting and mask-making workshop (free, no registration required).
-2.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.: Sensory visit - olfactory tour of the wines (free without registration)
-4.30pm to 5.30pm: Presentation of the floats in Cours l'Abbé
-5.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.: Burning of Monsieur Carnaval
- 6.30pm: Closing of tasting kit sales
-6.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.: Closing concert with Basile Verschaeve
-7.00 pm: Closing of the event
