La Maison de Claire

Completely renovated character house in a charming village on the famous Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet. Just a stone's throw from the world's most expensive vineyard, the house will be your starting point for discovering the marvellous Burgundy landscapes from Montrachet and its "Voie des vignes". This 20km cycle path is just waiting to be explored on foot, by bike, in a lorry with driver, on two horses, on a scooter, with a guide or on your own!
The house opens onto an open-plan kitchen, ideally equipped for 4 people. Adjacent, the bright living room with its large bay window is ideal for aperitifs or post-tasting debriefs! You can discover the wines for which our village is internationally renowned at the local wine cellar or at the winegrowers' by appointment! If you want to discover the whole of the Côte de Beaune, it's easy to get there by car: Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay, Pommard... small villages, big appellations!

Chassagne-Montrachet has a traditional bakery, "Le petit chêne", just 10 metres from the house! There are 2 restaurants, a gastronomic "Ed-Em" and a bistronomic restaurant run by the same kitchen team, "La Cabane". Don't forget to book! Chagny, 5 minutes from the house, is a small town full of good restaurants; I recommend Cépages et Saveurs or Grenier à Sel. And for a Michelin 3-star experience, treat yourself to Lameloise***, the chicest restaurant in the region! On Sunday mornings, you'll find all the local producers at the market, so you can take home some tasty souvenirs... pâtés en croûte from Monsieur Jondeau, cheeses from Cédric Guy, honey and Didier's wood-oven bread! I'll share my favourite products with you!

Claire's house is ideally situated for a star tour. Take a day trip, visit or taste the local produce, and return to the comfort of your own home every evening. Within a 50km radius, there are so many different activities to choose from that you'll find something to please young and old alike!
