Our reception offices in Beaune and the surrounding area are designed to welcome all visitors, including people with reduced mobility. In Beaune, our main office is fully accessible, with a level entrance, an adapted counter,clear signage and staff trained to welcome all types of visitors. Accessible toilets are also available nearby. The Porte Marie de Bourgogne Tourist Office has the Tourism & Handicap label for people with hearing and motor disabilities.

Several tourist information points in neighbouring towns also have facilities to facilitate access for people with disabilities. We are committed to providing a high-quality welcome throughout the region.

Come and discover our exceptional sites and our historic heritage. Discover the Hôtel-Dieu -Hospices de Beaune and its polychrome roofs, a former hospital founded in 1443. Useful information: You must go to reception and ask for PRM access, which is a different entrance. On presentation of proof of disability without prior booking:

Explore the region’s wine-growing heritage at the Cité des Climats, which offers you a unique opportunity to visit a 1,100 m2 immersive trail! Useful: Reduced rate for people with disabilities and free admission for a companion Finally, visit thereference exhibition at the Maison des Climats to understand the Climats of Burgundy, those famous ordered parcels of vines listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Helpful hint: Tourist Office staff will activate a stairlift platform system on request.

In an exceptional natural setting, Beaune Côté Plage offers you the chance to experience a real moment of relaxation and well-being. With its 14,000 m² of grassy beaches and 4 natural swimming pools, Beaune Côté Plage is the ideal place to relax, recharge your batteries, get moving, laugh and have fun. The site is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and a submersible chair is also available if you want to cool off and enjoy the ponds. The Green Way

from Chagny

Take a walk from the Halte Nautique des Grands Crus in Chagny: enjoy the peaceful greenways that run alongside the Canal du Centre. On-site parking and picnic tables are available. Stroll in complete safety along the tarmac paths reserved for pedestrians, cyclists and rollerbladers. Heading towards Chalon-sur-Saône, the voie verte takes you through the countryside, while heading towards Saint-Léger-sur-Dheune, you’ll discover the magnificent wine-growing landscapes of the Maranges.

Getting around

So what would you say to a visit to Beaune? Come and discover Beaune and its picturesque villages by car, ideally situated between Paris and Lyon, just 1 hour from Dijon on the A6 or the Route des Grands Crus. You can also choose to travel by train: allow 2h15 from Paris (connection via Dijon), 1h45 from Mulhouse or 1h40 from Lyon. Beaune TGV/TER station is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and is equipped with ramps and lifts.
