Under the old regime, Paris-L'Hôpital was attached to Dezize, under the name of Paris-sous-Nolay, and became a commune on 30 March 1831 by order of King Louis-Philippe. Construction work on the church was completed in 1845, and on the bell tower in 1857. The church, dedicated to Saint Mark, is in the neo-Romanesque style. The nave, lit by four-lobed openings, is made up of 4 bays extended by a one-bay forechoir and a semi-circular choir.
The monolithic columns separating the aisles of the nave rest on octagonal bases, and the capitals are made of rough hammered stone. The arcatures in the choir rest on capitals with stylised plant motifs.
