The Mômes and Merveilles Festival

Dive into the marvellous world of the Mômes et Merveilles festival in Beaune, an enchanted event where young and old share moments of dreams and laughter. Every year, Beaune plays host to the Mômes et Merveilles festival, an event dedicated to young spectators and their families. With its captivating shows, this festival offers a unique opportunity for sharing and artistic discovery. Here’s an overview of the shows that will amaze children this year.

The Méchant Loup affair

In this humorous and poetic show, a lonely old wolf sees his tranquillity upset by an intrepid goat. Between misunderstandings, role-playing and unexpected encounters, the audience discovers a story that questions our prejudices: is being a wolf enough to be the bad guy? A sensitive adventure accessible to young audiences, ideal for questioning the fear of others and the power of preconceived ideas.

Bleu, small chamber opera

Freely inspired by Madame d’Aulnoy’s tale L’Oiseau bleu, this show tells the story of a princess and a prince transformed into a bird, separated but determined to find each other again. Damien Bouvet plays a gallery of colourful characters: princes, magicians, villains and improbable creatures – all singing, noisily and mischievously. A marvellous journey through theatre, voice and imagination, to thrill young and old alike.

Pat & Mat - one last turn of the screw

Pat & Mat, two inseparable do-it-yourselfers, turn everyday obstacles into adventures full of joy and ingenuity. They’re never discouraged: their ideas, sometimes simple, sometimes completely crazy, are always a source of laughter. Five short films: The Tube, Popcorn, The Furniture, The Car Wash and The Door are brought to life in a ciné-concert with two musicians composing a tailor-made soundtrack. It’s a fun, interactive experience, where the music accompanies the gags, feeds the imagination and sparks images in the ears.

Circus interludes

An original dialogue between circus and music: juggling, Cyr wheel, magic and acrobatics mingle to the jazzy rhythms of a drum and piano duo. Karen Bourre and Vincent Regnard push back the boundaries of their disciplines, while Adrien Desse and Antonin Neels compose a lively score in dialogue with gesture. A poetic and spectacular interlude, suspended in time, where daring, balance and grace give birth to an extraordinary quartet.

The Mômes et Merveilles festival is a fantastic opportunity to spend time with your family and discover the magic of live entertainment. Book your tickets now and let yourself be transported into a world full of surprises!
