Les Etangs d'Or - Parc Eco Loisirs de Merceuil Tailly
HIKING
We begin to think about heading out, getting some fresh air and enjoying these first rays of sun … even the first warm weather.
Come with us and explore Pays Beaunois for a few days.
The sun is here, we wake up calmly and enjoy a hearty breakfast because this morning, we’re off for a walk around the Etangs d’Or (Golden Ponds). Nothing could be better to recharge your batteries than a walk beside the water. Take time to observe the wildlife that calls the place home and the birds that live or stop off here. Time passes, ready to take out our picnic and relax in peace before heading back to Chorey-les-Beaune.
Once in the village, head for Mobylettes de Chorey. Then set off to "carve up the road" on one of these little vintage beauties to discover the vineyards in a fun, original way. Marc can put together a short circuit of discoveries that will delight you.
Then take a trip around the town centre following our Walks in Burgundy app with the Walk around Beaune to stretch your legs and get fully clued up on the city.
Meet at 9.00am for a tour of Côte de Beaune with Safari Tours. Charly will pick you up at Porte Marie de Bourgogne and guide you through these renowned villages. He’ll tell you all about this particular vineyard, its “climats” (specific plots) and its wines (which you’ll taste, of course).
You'll arrive back in Beaune at 1.00pm. Then we’re off to Bien et Bon for a snack before heading to Parc de la Bouzaize for lunch in the middle of nature.
At 2.00pm, Gilles will be waiting at the Park with his carriage (Attelage Beaune Passion) to take us to Pommard. It’s the perfect time to let your food go down and arrive in style at the vineyard to the clip-clop of these Comtois draft horses.
Coming back at 4.00pm, it’s a great opportunity to return to the town centre, because that’s where you’ll find the Mulot and Petit Jean iced gingerbreads, which are perfect for a late afternoon snack in Carnot Square.
The ramparts are calling us, and it’s the perfect time to take a walk around them and discover all their hidden treasures.
This evening, to enjoy the sunset, why not fly with Air Escargot in its beautiful hot air balloon with its harlequin colours. Float gently over the vineyards and listen to Pierre, a man full of enthusiasm who’s passionate about his region.
Enjoy the Region one last time as we head off to discover the Route des Grands Crus Crus towards Côte de Nuits.
Stop in the village of Savigny-lès-Beaune to buy a tasty snack at the La Vigneronne bakery before continuing along the Route des Vins.
This morning, there’s a visit to Villars Fontaine, and the Karrière. This old Comblanchien stone quarry now has a whole new life! This open-air site is an outdoor Street Art museum that’s worth a visit. With its graffiti and sculptures, culture and nature, you’re royally served.
The lunch bell is ringing and it’s time to think about heading back.
There’s still time to picnic at the Pernand Vergelesses viewpoint, which offers a view of this pretty village on top of the view as far as the eye can see across the vineyards. It's a fantastic view to enjoy to the full before heading off back home.
We went to discover our vineyards and get to know our winegrowers. On the Voie des Vignes by bike or seen from the sky, the Côte de Beaune is as attractive as ever.
